Beauty pageants are an important platform in order to develops in any field, some of them have tried to access to difficult industry of music, but the official title as “the most beautiful” have no been enough for making a hit.

Successful participations in Miss Universe pageant but mediocre performs in the music have been the media in ex beauty pageants.

Her grand debut was in Miss Universe pageant 1994, a young Dayanara Torres Miss Universe 1993 of Puerto Rico made a short participation singing “a whole new world” with Peabo Bryson, months later she launched her first and only production called “Dayanara” it didn’t have attention and almost was unnoticed if it had not been by her lifetime title “Miss Universe”.

France’s Sonia Rolland but was born in Rwanda; semifinalist in Miss Universe 2000 launched her musical production also, titled “Sing for Rwanda” all money gathered is for her association “Sonia Rolland for children” it helps orphans children victims of the war in Rwanda, although there was not much promotion for this CD, it was be able to gathered enough money and was sent to Maryam’s Orphanage in Kigali, Rwanda.

Sonia fled from its country being a child, settling down in France but never forgot her origins and her country, being Miss France always promoted the aid to the children of Rwanda.

Wendy Fitzwilliam, Miss Universe 1998 of Trinidad & Tobago made her world debut in Miss Universe 1999 also held in her country, she launched her first production even she has a beautiful voice it had not acceptation for calling a success. Wendy was in Miss Mexico pageant singing in the year 2000.

Denise Quiñones from Puerto Rico and Miss Universe 2001 doesn’t launch her production as singer yet but she has participated in musicals in Broadway, New York and Puerto Rico, she has been invited to sing in Miss Puerto Rico pageant several times, according Quiñones her CD will be launch soon.

Alicia Machado Miss Universe 1996 of Venezuela has joined to singer misses also; in the year 2004 launched her first musical production titled “Alicia Machado” its songs play in many Latin radio stations in United States and several radio station in Latin America, Machado was invited to sing in Miss Venezuela 2004 pageant, she has been in many important shows in Univision channel (most important Hispanic channel in USA) and Latin magazines says about her and her CD.

Another Miss Universe who has announced her new production is the young Dominican Amelia Vega, with support of one of the most important, talented and famous Latin singer in addition to being her uncle, Juan Luis Guerra (grammy winner) we don’t have any doubt in a interesting work will result.
