Many people have compared her with Marilyn Monroe. She is Maribel
Arrieta Gálvez of El Salvador.
This beautiful woman was the 1st. runner up in the Miss Universe
1955 contest. Maribel also obtained the Miss Friendship award.

Maribel took part in a movie in Mexico called
" We will meet in the sky ". She married from the Belgian
royalty and became a baroness.
She died at the age of 55 due to cancer. Maribel always will
be remembered as the most beautiful woman from El Salvador
and as the first Central American who almost won Miss Universe.
