She was only Miss Lares a town of Puerto Rico, this Lareña girl signed up for the national pageant not even imagining that the future would cover her in its arms giving her a special gift the size of the universe.

Denise Quiñones was chose Miss Puerto Rico and represented her country in the Miss Universe pageant being the host. Winning all the major prices of such pageant and with a unique charisma. Quiñones won the Miss Universe 2001 title in her own country.
