Great expectation was causing the final of the contest Our Beauty Mexico Millennium, in the City of Pachuca, Hidalgo, it was the last time in which we saw 32 representatives from the whole country, one per state, before the contest was became a competition of " integral women " and not of states, according to Miss Mexico director, Lupita Jones.

Undoubtedly one of the big favorites was Leticia Judith Murray Acedo, from Hermosillo, Sonora, an impressive stature, and stunning beauty Letty won the crown of Miss Mexico millennium, and represented Mexico in Miss Universe 2000, which was celebrated in Nicosia, Cyprus.

At her arrival in the small Asian-European country, Letty placed rapidly as one of the big favorites of the public and of the international press, due to her typical beauty from the north of Mexico, she captivated everybody in Cyprus. Her beauty did not pass unnoticed, since an important international renowned shampoo brand awarded her with best hair of the contest.

That wasn‘t all, since already it is a custom, destiny had a surprise reserved for Mexico and thanks to the great ingenuity of the Mexican designers, Mexico was the winner of the Miss Universe typical suits contest 2000.

Undoubtedly Letty went to win and to fill from pride a whole nation. We remain with the desires of seeing her in the final, but it didn‘t matter, due to the above mentioned prizes that she obtained, it made it clear that Letty was a winner, and that she did the best but the rest was not in her hands.

She will be forever for the Mexican Miss Universe without a crown from Miss Universe 2000!!!, God bless you Letty
