June 1993, Dayanara Torres was welcomed by thousand of people in the International Airport Luis Muñoz Marn in Puerto Rico. All TV station join each other in one transmission simultaneity with out precedents in the history of Puerto Rico, and Marisol Malaret (First Miss Universe from Puerto Rico) was the host along a group of local journalists.

The airplane arrived and Dayanara show up wearing a purple color dress in the airplane door that comeback home as the third Puerto Rico’s Miss Universe, she looked beautiful, almost hurt look at her, her incredulous expression vanish soon when she watched her mother Ms Lucy Delgado who made to Dayanara cry.

After that, Dayanara was escort in the middle of a crowd of journalists and civil employees towards a small platform where it made a brief protocolic act. There, the 3 Puerto Ricans were reunited for the first time who until that moment had reach the title of Miss Universe; Deborah Carthy Deu, Dayanara Torres and Marisol Malaret

Immediately afterwards, the sovereign was transported to a float with which she began the route throughout the avenue Baldorioty de Castro in direction towards the palace of Santa Catherine, official house of the governor of the island. Thousands of peculiar greetings were made at length of the avenue while the queen gave back to the greeting between laughter and expressions of astonishment.

One of the most touching moments of the route happened when the caravan reach the adjacent section to the residential Luis Llorens Towers, where hundreds of residents waited to see the sovereign. On this event, Marisol Malaret talked about Dayanara as a queen of the town, doing reference to the humble origin of the sovereign and the history of Cinderella that carried out.

Shortly after that, Dayanara arrived to the Official House where she shared with the governor and his wife. Later, the queen went to her native town, where thousands of Toalteños jammed the down town of this municipality to receive their most lovely daughter.

Dressed in red, in company of the virgin of Monserrate - Saint of the town -, the stunning queen received a tremendous and unforgettable welcome
