Vivian Ungar, Miss Young International 1978 (Costa Rica)

Vivian del Carmen Ungar Borbón of Costa Rica won Miss Young International 1978 in Tokyo, Japan. The young girl was chosen between 48 girls of the world, second place was for Miss Hawaii Brooke Alexander and third place for Miss Mexico Martha Eugenia Ortíz Gómez who won Miss Photogenic award too.
Vivian won the award of best National Costume also.
There is no doubt that 1978 was a great year for Costa Rica. They won Miss Photogenic in Miss Universe, a semifinalist in Miss World, and won the Miss Young International crown. (more information)
